Nottingham-based publisher Themeborne will unveil the latest prototype of their debut game Escape the Dark Castle at booth G34 this UK Games Expo.
Inspired by the TV programme Knightmare, Fighting Fantasy gamebooks, old-school D&D, and Heroquest, Escape the Dark Castle brings the atmosphere and adventure of dark fantasy to the tabletop in a unique way with evocative monochrome art and simple, approachable rules.
It’s a cooperative game for 1-4 players which takes two minutes to set up and 30 minutes to play. Players take on the roles of wretched prisoners, wrongfully incarcerated in the depths of The Dark Castle, they have broken free from their cells and must work together to overcome
